The Video Game Trophy Room: Episode 12 - Street Fighter II Turbo

SNES:
Street Fighter II Turbo
This is a classic. Nowadays pretty much everyone says it's a broken version. You know what though, back in the 90's when this came out on SNES no one gave a shit. Everyone and their mom was playing it. I struggled so hard though, and I didn't even put the speed to max. Damn Vega and Sagat owned my ass for like 10 minutes each before I managed to win. If I was popping quarters I'd have quit long ago.

The Video Game Trophy Room: Episode 10 - Super Mario Bros. 3

NES:
Super Mario Bros. 3
The first game I ever fell in love with and was previously the owner of the game I beat more than any other. That title has moved around a lot since then, but this game was really the one that turned me into a hardcore gamer. Thanks Super Mario Bros. 3 for all the awesome times.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
What can I say about this game? One of the greatest RPGs of the SNES era without a doubt. It still amazes me that a direct sequel was never made (and yes I know about Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi, they do not count!). This took me about 20 hours to beat. A fair investment for the amount of fun I got out of it. It's also the first RPG that I put in here. Go Mario Go!

SNES:
U.N. Squadron
Classic shooter by Capcom ported over to the SNES back in the early 90's. First time I ever had the patience to sit down and finish it. It's not hard, just frustrating because you have to just keep an eye on the screen at all times for like 100 bullets in some cases. Great game though, good challenge. Probably one of the best shooters on the SNES.

Super Punch-Out!!
I can't believe how easy this was. Hadn't played it in years and still managed to make it to the end in about 30 minutes without a loss. Clearly some skills are like riding a bike, you have them for your whole life.

Well this one took about 3 hours total. Some of those special levels are a pain but it's done! 96* boo ya. Been about 5 years since I finished this one. Now if anyone asks why I failed my Classics exam tomorrow morning, this is the reason.

YES! Finally I beat this game on hard mode! This is the first time I ever did it! You can see I have 105%, the only way to get that is by entering a code at the start which removes DK barrels from the levels and the mid-way save barrels as well. What a challenge! Not only that but I made great time! I actually finished this game faster than DKC2. Impressive run!

Decided to play this one through today. Always a fun game. Beat it fairly quickly as well. Managed to find all the sub and heart tanks in a timely fashion and even got myself the Hadoken. Took me about an hour. Not bad.

SNES: Donkey Kong Country 2 - Diddy's Kong Quest
I took forever to beat this one! 3:06 wow. That's actually kinda slow for myself. I really love this game though, and out of all the Donkey Kong series this is my favourite. I had to go back and visit some of the kongs that I'd missed to get the last percent, and that added a few minutes onto my time. Even so, I had a lot of fun playing it again.

I think I did pretty good with this run. Managed to finish the game in 2:08 which is a new personal record (though I won't be winning any speed run awards). I was doing really well until the last few worlds. I had gotten to 68% in under an hour. Looking for secrets in the last two worlds are what really added on the time. Even so, I am pretty happy.
